We are Jacob and Grace Gouge of Marshfield, Vermont. We live in a rural area with our four children, Nicole, Natalie, Mariya, and John. Jacob grew up with Beagles, so we welcomed our family Beagle twelve years ago, but found that she was not right for our growing household. We needed a dog we could trust with children, which could go out without running away, offer protection when needed, and be a companion. We wanted a bigger dog, but didn't want to clean up dog hair. We still have a soft spot for Beagles, and ours found a loving home more appropriate for her instincts.
We discovered Labradoodles. Zoe joined our family in the fall of 2010. We loved her so much we added Marley two years later, and then, Bree, a chocolate female. Grace, once a cat person, has completely fallen in love with her dogs (and they with her). We have been so happy with our dogs that we want to offer their puppies to others who are looking for the perfect best friend.

Marley is a calm, people-oriented F1B Labradoodle. He adores Grace, and wakes from a sound sleep to follow her from room to room. He is gentle and sweet, but lets us know when strangers come to the house. He loves fetching his toys, playing with the cat, or lying at our feet. He was chocolate brown as a puppy; some of his hair is silver now.
Visitors have been impressed by how calm Marley is when he meets them. He doesn't jump up or get excited; he just gives them a sniff and then keeps an eye on them from a distance. Marley has retired from his stud duties, and does a lot of sleeping these days.

Zoe was our first Doodle, and set a high bar for those that followed. She produced many fine puppies before retiring, and passed away in 2022. We miss her very much.
Here's Bree, many years ago. She is curlier than some Doodles, and has produced many fine puppies. Our current litter will be her last.
